End of the Download Era? Legacy Tech and iTunes

Apple announced a few days ago its decision to axe its iconic media player iTunes after 18 years of existence. In the wake of other apps like Spotify, Audible, and Pandora, the music library platform will be replaced with standalone apps for music, TV, and podcasting.
