Lifeline to Receive $34 Million in Funding
Tuesday’s Federal Budget saw the announcement from Treasurer Scott Morrison that crisis support and suicide prevention service Lifeline would receive an additional $34 million of funding over the next four years. With a new call being made to Lifeline’s 24 hour telephone crisis support service every 32 seconds, this funding increase will enable Lifeline to continue to support people in need. Alan Woodward, Executive Director of Research & Strategy at Lifeline joined us on The Daily to discuss the benefits of this funding increase.
