LIGHTNING TAKES OUT 2SER FM TRANSMITTER
2SER’s FM signal will be running on low power for at least the next week, and we hope that many of you will be able to tune in to us via free-to-air digital radios (DAB+) or online streams.
On Easter Friday a storm struck the FM broadcast site on top of the UTS Tower building in central Sydney, causing critical damage to the transmitter and antenna. A backup transmitter’s in place, but for safety reasons it’s running on reduced power, and not able to get a signal out across our full broadcast coverage area.
We’re working to restore full coverage on FM as soon as possible, but please expect this disruption to continue for at least a week.
