The link between heart failure and frailty
When you think of someone who is frail you probably have a pretty clear visual of who that is – an older person perhaps using a walking frame or a cane.
But age isn’t always an indicator of frailty, sometimes it has to do with more serious health issues.
Julee McDonagh from the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney is looking at the link between heart failure and frailty and believes we still have a way to go when it comes to changing the common perception of a frail person.
