Logging on NSW Mid-North Coast
Australia bush coming under threat from urban expansion and logging is nothing new, nor is the fight from various conservation groups trying to save unique habitats. But the Black Summer bushfires late last year and earlier this year devastated huge areas of Aussie bush and made us think, surely we need to do better. But unfortunately large sections of ancient and unique Australian bush is lost every day whether that’s to natural disaster, urban expansion, or logging.
To tell us a bit about the situation around some of this bush on NSW’s Mid-North Coast was Zianna, a volunteer with the Gumbaynggirr Conservation Group, who have been taking action against logging interests in the region.
