Loo Coup Win for Women

After the loo coup in October last year, the female staff in Parliament has finally got what they fought for: The Men’s changing rooms.

Many female MP’s protested against the fact that there weren’t enough toilet and shower facilities at the NSW Parliament. There are three showers for men on each level of the Parliament House, but only one for women. This disparity between women’s and men’s bathrooms was also a problem in the Parliament gym, but as of yesterday the male and female changing rooms at the gym have been switched permanently.

Our host Celline spoke to Legislative Assembly Speaker Shelly Hancock, who was involved in the loo coup last year.
