Local News Falls to COVID Hammer

As the effects of coronavirus impact an already-struggling industry, communities across Australia have watched as their news outlets close their doors.
The economic fallout has been described as an “extinction event” for the media – and news outlets in suburban, regional and rural areas are being particularly hard hit.
