A multidisciplianry artist, activist and queer icon, Derek Jarman left behind one of the most compelling bodies of work in 20th Century film canon upon his untimely death of AIDS related illness in 1994. In conjunction with an exhibition of his life and work at UNSW, the Art Gallery of NSW is kicking off a showcase of Jarman’s films starting this weekend.
