Making sense of the census

Census is a word that most of us know, but not many can explain. With added troubles such as politicians calling citizens to act against the census and an alleged attempted hack of the website, the ambiguity of the situation has only grown larger.

So what really is the census? Why do we have to do it? Who can see our personal information? And what actually happens once we’ve filled it out?
