Factory Farms Map Sparks Anger

Just over a week ago, the animal activist group Aussie Farms’published a map of factory farms, slaughterhouses, and other places where, it claims, animal cruelty occurs in Australian farms.

The map was met with criticism from the government and farmers, with the president of the National Farmers’ Federation stating that the map target farmers for acts of terror.

But just what is the legality of publishing the details of alleged animal exploiters across the country?

To discuss the publication of the factory farm map, The Daily‘s Victor Petrovic  was joined by Rick Sarre, Adjunct Professor of Law and Criminal Justice at the University of South Australia.

You can read Professor Sarre’s writing on the topic at The Conversation.
