Each year on 21 February, the MCA puts on an exhibition to highlight the importance of the world’s languages. This falls in line with the UN’s Mother Language day.  It both commemorates the languages of this country’s first peoples as well as the staff and participating artists whose mother languages have been imported. Speaking to about this today is Keith Munro the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders program curator from the museum of contemporary art.
