The joint recipients of the Australian of the Year Award, Professor Richard Scoyler AO and Professor Georgina Long AO, have been pioneered in the treatment of melanoma. As co-directors of the Melanoma Institute Australia, they have developed world-first treatments for melanoma, and other cancers more broadly, through a unique immunotherapy approach.
