Is Merit more valuable than Qualifications?

In 2016, almost two thirds of Australians had completed an apprenticeship or university degree. The trend stems from the idea that if you’re qualified, you’re more likely to land a decent job. So why are big companies such as PwC, Ernst & Young and Google ditching degree requirements and focusing on merits? And what does this say about the value of tertiary education? The University of Adelaide’s Josh Krook joined us this morning to discuss the future of graduate recruitment.
