Microplastics, a Widespread Concern

The Australian Institute of Marine Science is carrying out research on Microplastics contamination in the ocean. A Microplastic is an any plastic based material under the size of five millimeters. Dr Frederieke Kroon, Team Leader of the Microplastic research team, have found microplastics through out the ocean but also in marine organisms such as crabs and fish.
