Migrant Women Find it Harder to Gain Employment
A new survey has revealed that migrant and refugee women in Australia struggle to find work despite having the necessary qualifications. The survey found that this inability to find stable employment can become a barrier for these women in achieving other outcomes. Results indicate that migrant and refugee women are also not receiving basic medical advice and this is negatively affecting their life choices and overall well being.
Today we spoke to Anyier Yuol, a member of the Harmony Alliance Council and Board Member of the Australian National Community on Refugee Women about these findings.
