Millions of customers impacted by Optus data breach

On the 22nd of September, Optus, one of Australia’s largest telecommunication companies’ reported a cyberattack resulting in the loss of at least 9.8 million customer’s data.

Personal information such as customer names, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses and in some cases passport and license numbers were stolen.

Optus has since been in contact with individuals’ impacted by the data breach.
