Minor parties pushing to win over Victorian Labor heartland

Audio Player

The federal election campaign has entered its third week.

Both major parties are pushing their own responses to cost-of-living pressures, the housing crisis, and the future of Australia’s energy grid.

Despite polling earlier this year suggesting a tight contest and possible coalition-minority government, Labor’s approval rating has risen.

But with another 20 days of the campaign, the growing independent and minor party voice could still hold the balance of power after the 3rd of May.

The electorate of Wills is one of the seats in Melbourne where the Greens are hoping to win over Labor’s heartland.
