We pride ourselves on our independance but just how independent are we? Should we continue with our strong ties to the English Motherland or forge out on our own?
Australian MPs and Premiers earlier this year showed their support for us to become a Republic, and PM Turnbull is a known Republican. But yesterday the Australian Monarchist League demanded an apology for these expressions and that more action taken for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Mitch talked with Philip Benwell the National Chairman and spokesperson for the Australian Monarchist League to get his perspective on the matter.
