Virtual Gig Guide

Now we are of course in the absence of live music so gig guide hosts Oscar and Jarred thought it would be cool to plug some of our favourite youtube gigs online that you can view from the safety and comfort of your home, go on and start a living room mosh with your housemates you know you want to !

Oscars Choices

The Murlocs – Brunswick Ballroom (2021)

First up, Oscars gone with one of our favourite bands at the moment it’s the Murlocs and their recent Brunswick ballroom set in Victoria where they played their latest record Bittersweet Demons in its entirety, with a few of their classics sprinkled in and good heavens. It’s amazing. Ambrose is dressed in that same red suit he was wearing when Oscar and Jarred saw him at the Vic right before lockdown, looking just like mad genius conductor.

The Stone Roses – Blackpool Empress Ballroom (1989)

The next virtual gig on Oscars list is his favourite Manchester band of all time, sorry Morrisey old pal, but it’s The Stone Roses live in Blackpool (1989). The sound quality is superb and it captures the band as they were on the brink of becoming one of the best and biggest groups in the whole world. Ian Brown enters the stage with a yo-yo after a few too many red cordials and some other delightful chemical treaties, an iconic set to say the least.
