More diversity needed at Woodford Folk Festival
The Woodford Folk Festival on the Sunshine Coast is held every year over Christmas and New Year’s. The music festival has been running for nearly forty years, attracting over 150 THOUSAND people.
However, punters and industry leaders say the festival needs more multicultural organisers, volunteers, artists and attendees.
Even though the festival includes diverse performers, last week’s attendees say they’re disappointed by the lack of culturally and linguistically diverse artists in the musical and cultural events.
