The Mosul Story: Where are we now?
The Battle for Mosul, Iraq is more important than ever to the Islamic State. Mosul is the last Iraqi urban area currently held by ISIL – but it is constantly bombarded by both national and foreign forces. The United Nations is calling it one of the “largest humanitarian disasters” in history. So what is the update on this incredibly tense story, and how are the opposition forces doing at chewing away at ISIL’s control of the city?
