On the day when new flicks hit Australian cinemas, 2ser film buff Michael Jones wanders down from his office to bring you the verdict on whatever’s out today.
This week, Michael reviewed Goodbye Christopher Robin and Better Watch Out.
Goodbye Christopher Robin stars Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson and Kelly McDonald, and depicts the origins of the Winnie the Pooh stories. Michael has mixed feelings on this one, enjoying the feel-good relationships in the film, only to be left disappointed at how quickly and artificially they fall apart.
Better Watch Out is a Christmas movie – with a dark, horror-fueled twist. Partly Australian-made, starring emerging talents including Olivia DeJonge and Levi Miller, Michael didn’t feel this one was quite his cup of eggnog.
