Music and the Environment: When Art Meets Science

When you think about scientific research, chances are you think about microscopes, lab coats and research reports. Well a new art-science collaboration in Queensland is turning all of that on its head. Wetland Wander is a project led by researchers from Griffith University which is looking to inspire the public to conserve Queensland’s wetlands by combining music and the environment into an immersive experience. The Daily’s Nathaniel Keesing was joined by researcher at Griffith University and sound artist on the project Leah Barclay to talk about Wetland Wander’s unique approach.
