‘Mutation’: The Next Evolution In The Lore of RedHook is Here!

2024 has been filled with many fantastic drops in Australian Metal, and one highly-anticipated release was RedHook’s Sophomore album, Mutation (released November 22nd). Its tracks will keep you guessing what’s next with its blend of killer riffs, genre-bending production, and introspective lyrics. And to top it all off, it reached #1 on the Aria Aussie Album charts within the first 3 weeks of its release!

RedHook, a four-piece from Eora/Sydney, has been a nuclear force on the Aus metal scene since 2018 when they dropped their first single, “Minute On Fire.” They’ve shared the stage with some big-name international acts, including Smashing Pumpkins earlier this year, and had a slot at Good Things Festival in 2022, right before releasing their debut album Postcard From A Living Hell (which was even a Triple J feature album!)

Last week, Grace had a blast exploring this album with RedHook’s iconic front woman Emmy Mack, addressing a few touchy topics and some surprising references.
