2SER Breakfast

The second installment in the 2SER Breakfast NAIDOC Week 2016 special features award-winning musician and composer Jessie Lloyd, an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman from Northern Queensland. Now based in Melbourne, Jessie popped into the studio to talk about her Mission Songs Project with Nic. The initiavtive, started in 2015, is a collection of Indigenous songs from the Christian Missions and Aboriginal reserves created between 1900-1999. The songs are performed as part of the project, offering a window of insight into the lives of Indigenous people who were relocated during this period.
