NASA’s New Blue Suit

Heralding in a new era in space travel, Boeing has developed a new space suit to be used in conjunction with its CST-100 Starliner, which will take future passengers into low-Earth orbit destinations. Designed to improve functionality, comfort and protection, the new “Boeing Blue” suit is 40% lighter than the previous suits used by astronauts, and will enable them to use touchscreen interfaces more easily. Adrian had a chat with Justin Kerr, a Commercial Crew Program Engineer from NASA, to talk about the features of the new suit.
