National Pet Adoption Day 2019
Today is the 5th National Pet Adoption Day that is run by PetRescue and PETstock. This year the leading pet rescue agency has removed all breed names from their website and replaced it with the phrase ‘love knows no breeds’. The aim is to ensure pets of all types find a home.
PETstock stores across Australia will be filled with rescue animals and adoption papers ready to be signed. This year PETstock is hoping 1000 rescue pets will find a home.
Jess Klajman spoke with Jess Guilfoyle, the PETstock Assist Charity and Events Coordinator about the National Pet Adoption Day and breed stereotypes.
