National Threatened Species Day 2018

We all love the distinctive characteristics of Australia’s flora and fauna – Our ancient-island continent is home to more than 500,00 animal and plant species, found no-where else upon the face of the planet.  Sadly, throughout the last 200 years or so, human actions have compromised the well-being of Australia’s biota.  In New South Wales,  there’s approximately 1000 animal and plant species at risk of extinction.  Jess spoke with Jane DeGabriel from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage’s Saving our Species Program,  about the State Government’s efforts to raise awareness on the matter.
