NDIS Strategy Released for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse People

The introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme promised a historic overhaul of social services, providing a better system of individualized support for people with permanent and significant disability. However even before the transition, there were concerns over just how the scheme would operate and if it would meet the needs of the diverse Australian community.

Needless to say, a plan was vital to empower people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to access the full benefits of the system. However, nearly two years after the full roll out began, a strategy document has only recently been released. Tess was joined by Dwayne Cranfield, CEO of the National Ethnic Disability Alliance to talk about the strategy.
