Neuroenhancers- can they make us smarter?
Some are pills, some are liquids, some are exercises- but do they really make us smarter? And at what cost? Wacking devices on your head all sounds very science fiction, but apparently the market for neuroenhancers is growing. From students getting study aids on the black market to athletes improving brain function, it seems everyone want to be ‘smarter’.
But while some methods are perfectly safe, others can have some problematic side effects.Tess chatted with Dr Siobhan Schabrun, Senior Lecturer at the School of Science and Health at Western Sydney Uni to find out more.
