Why do we never talk about death?

The Festival of Death and Dying returns this weekend from October 7-8 at Critical Path. A series of talks, seminars, performances and more, the Festival wants us to acknowledge our mortality and begin a real conversation about death and dying.
It’s the brainchild of philosopher Dr Peter Banki, who’ll also be presenting a talk on the nature of forgiveness when it comes to death. Dr Banki spoke with Nic about our modern disconnection from death and why it’s so important to have a better understanding of the fact we will one day all die.
