While Scott Morrison tries to persuade the States to honour commitments to the 70 and 80 per cent vaccination targets, new expert analysis argues Australia must vaccinate at least 90 per cent of the whole population, including children, before removing COVID restrictions.
The analysis comes from Professor Quentin Grafton from The Australian National University, Dr Zoë Hyde from the University of Western Australia and Professor Tom Kompas from the University of Melbourne, who are concerned the current Doherty Institute modelling leaves space for thousands of unnecessary deaths and cases of long COVID.
