We all know renting is hell, especially in Sydney. But there’s also a funny side, as producer Sophie Saville and director Rowan Devereux found out when they collaborated on Evicted! A Modern Romance, which debuts at this year’s Sydney Film Festival.

Sophie talked to Oscar Byrne about shooting in Sydney, tapping into the local music scene for the film’s score, and crowd-sourcing funding for the production.
