New Light Rail Will Need Green Light Priority

On Wednesday, a confidential report commissioned by Transport for NSW found that passengers will spend between seven and nine minutes waiting at red lights when using the new Sydney and Eastern Suburbs Light Rail Line during AM and PM peak hour times unless changes are made. The findings from this report have ultimately raised questions about the reliability of services on the new line to run on time and about how this will contribute to traffic congestion.
