Steph Liong is covering New Music again this week and has brought some lost soul as well as some new treats from abroad and at home.
Lucas McFadden, also known as Cut Chemist, has released a new album ‘Die Cut.’ The album is classic Cut Chemist, mixing genres and crafting new sounds from old records. Have a listen to ‘Home Away from Home’ featuring Laura Darlington.
Next up, another lost classic has been unearthed, this time it’s the relatively unknown Eula Cooper, American Soul singer who recorded her first single at the age of 14 in 1968. The album ‘Let Our love Grow Higher’ has been re-released and it’s full of powerful tracks such as ‘Try.’
Finally, we have local band Flowertruck who released their first album last week, called ‘Mostly Sunny’. This is an album that really delivers on the title, filled with vibrant guitar, warm vocals and nostalgic melodies. Brighten up your day with ‘Komichi’, one of the songs from their album.
