Tim Higgins continues to fill in for Andrew Khedoori and to bring you this week’s new music.
XL Recordings label head Richard Russell blends jazz, gospel and hip hop on his Everything Is Recorded project with a huge mix of collaborations from Damon Albarn, Brian Eno, Sampha, Kamasi Washington and many more.
One to watch is Haley Heynderickx who is set to release her debut album ‘I Need to Start a Garden’. Tender folk with intricate guitar lines with vocal tones similar to Angel Olsen.
And lastly, 60s group The Choir finally release their debut album almost 50 years after it’s recording as the tapes were unearthed and bought by US label Omnivore. Check out ‘Anyway I Can’ from that album, and try not to bop your head along to it.
