New Music with Steph Liong
Monday morning means more New Music with Steph!
Starting off with a master of getting people to dance, New Zealand producer and multi-instrumentalist Julien Dyne. His new album Teal is an uptempo and forward leaning sound that oozes soul and funk. This track features Ladi6 and is called “Hours”.
Moving back on home soil with Melbourne seven-piece Cool Sounds, consisting of members from the likes of The Ocean Party and No Local. Their new record Cactus Country moves towards a dusty country tone with a hint of 70’s rock. Check out this song “Cassandra”.
Finishing off New Music with British singer-songwriter Eliza Shaddad and her debut album Future. This album has a combination of folk and grunge influences, trip hop, and west-coast surf rock sounds, interweaving for a dreamy and laid-back feel. Take a listen to “Daydreaming”.
