The Federal government is gearing up to transition the energy sector away from fossil fuel-based industries through a new government body.

The Net Zero Economy Authority will oversee the upskilling of workers and the move towards emerging clean energy manufacturing.

The bill to establish the Authority passed the Federal parliament earlier in September.
