New NSW Strata Laws
This week, over 90 new strata title laws came into effect, impacting 1.2 million people across NSW.
Key changes include new provisions around parking, pets, smoke drift and the introduction of a defects bond.
The most controversial change will mean apartment blocks can be sold to developers with the consent of just 75 per cent of unit owners.
We were joined on The Daily by Associate Professor Cathy Sherry from the University of New South Wales, to find out more about strata title and what the new law means.
