New Parliament passed Climate Action Bill
Yesterday evening Parliament passed the climate action bill, enshrining the 43 per cent carbon emissions target into law.
Climate action and achieving carbon emissions reduction were one of the promises of the Albanese government in his election campaign.
The Greens and Senators Jacqui Lambie and David Pocock were critical to pass the bill by amending it so the government is more accountable to achieve the target.
