New research could double efficiency of solar power panels

There’s been some exciting news on the technology front, with research at the University of NSW making a break through in solar cell technology. The research has provided a 45 per cent improvement on previous cell efficiency. In the future this could mean roof top solar panels could halve in size, but produce the same amount of energy.
