New research suggest more needs to be done to address the social factors of health

Many factors determine one’s health. Social Factors can include a child’s upbringing, education and socioeconomic status. However, researchers want to change how health programs and policymakers address the social factors of health. Health is under a large umbrella. But with new research, we can tackle the health of Australians, especially by focusing on the social factors of health to improve the well-being of everyone. Clare Littleton, Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Centre for Healthy Sustainable Development at Torrens University Australia joined the Monday Daily to discuss health determinants and how policymakers should address them.
