It also states that the new metro line is blowing out in cost, and the Government is saying there will be a seven month closure for the Macquarie Uni line as it is finished. There was another dog attack, this time in Penrith, on an elderly woman. A man was attacked in Annandale with a chainsaw and a 25 year-old Sydney man was charged over claims he wanted to fly to Syria to fight against Australia. NSW Health banned the word obese.

In nationwide news, Scott Morrison’s budget update came out with proposed cuts to uni funding and disability benefits. George Brandis was announced as the new UK High Commissioner, replacing Alexander Downer. On Monday a new report said that power bills are set to fall next year, though the next day another report said prices would go up. Jarryd Hayne denies he raped a woman in the US in 2015.

Internationally we saw the Washington Rail Disaster where a train dramatically plunged over a cliff. An Australian man was arrested in Bali, facing the death penalty for drug possession. 81-year-old pedophile priest Finian Egan was released after assaulting dozens of children and has been ordered not to go near kids. US republican politicians celebrate the greatest tax reform in 30 years, while not one democrat voted for it. The EU voted Uber as a taxi service.
