No Empty Promises

Adelaide noise rock outfit The Empty Threats have recently unveiled their debut long-play record MONSTER TRUCK MONDAYS, an album that transverses the sonic plains of existence through bombastic musical explosions while airing grievances with the socio-political lay of the land.
Picking up from where their self-titled 2021 left off, the psychedelic output of this five-piece has really put the pedal to the metal on their debut album, a record that is instantly in the red with the scale and scope what a psychedelic record can provide, while hearing the cries of those who are left feel like they’re left in the dust.

Ahead of their Sydney show on the 19th August at the Botany View with Marilyn Maria and G.U.N. Stu, Michael, Matt, Venus and Lenny of The Empty Threats put some time aside before band practice to sit around a laptop in their suburban Adelaide backyard and share some insights to the Adelaide music community, the parallels between and if the remnants of 60s counter culture.

Monster Truck Mondays is out now through P.A.K Records.
