Northern Beaches Council tackles plastic pollution
Plastic pollution in our oceans — and especially microplastics — is an enormous environmental issue that’s gathering a lot of attention.
While we’ve discussed microplastics on a global level on Breakfast, the Northern Beaches Council is taking a community view when it comes to making a difference. In addition to policing its own use of single-use plastic items, the Council is encouraging local business and individual to consider their own use and lobby the NSW Government for legislative changes.
