Northern Territory to update anti-discrimination laws
Northern Territory anti-discrimination laws are set to be changed for the first time in three decades as the government looks to expand the list of categories protected under legislation and limit the powers of religious institutions’ when it comes to their hiring decisions.
The new bill is backed by members of the LGBT community, though there are some religious groups opposing it.
