Not a home owner at 45? You never will be.
New research from Swinburne University of Technology has highlighted a disconcerting growing trend in Australia’s housing market – our housing security is crumbling, as the gap widens between property owners and those who rent. Renters are more at risk of adverse life events and it’s unlikely they will ever own a house after the age of 45.
Dr. Andrea Sharam, research fellow at Swinburne’s School of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities and one of the report’s three co-authors joined The Daily.
