NSW Government’s Road Safety Plan: Will This Reduce The Road Toll?
Earlier this week Premier Gladys Berejiklian released the NSW Government’s Road Safety Plan. The plan aims to reduce the road toll after 92 people lost their lives on NSW roads in 2017. The plan includes measures such as expanding the mandatory alcohol interlock program to include all mid-range drink driving offenders. One measure that was not put in place was to extend the use of point-to-point cameras for all vehicles, a decision that has left many experts baffled. The Daily was joined on the line by Dr John Crozier, Chair of the National Trauma Committee at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons to discuss this issue.
