NSW SES failed residents of flood emergency: inquiry
As floods continue in parts of New South Wales, the findings of a recent inquiry into the catastrophic floods in Northern New South Wales, heard state emergency services failed to alert residents of the threat before floods engulfed Lismore.
It heard inaccuracies in flood height predictions and a lack of warning from the SES on the severe weather risk posed Sunday night into Monday morning (despite being warned by the Bureau of Meteorology) left the public in the dark.
