Amir Mohamed el Khalifa, better known by his stage name Oddisee, is a rapper, producer and underground rap veteran from Washington, D.C.
Since the release of his album To What End in 2023 and more recently Odd Sketches, Vol. 1 in March 2024, Oddisee has performed extensively across Europe and North America, and has finally made his way to our shores, playing at the Red Rattler Theatre on Saturday 4th May 2024.
Through his music, Oddisee tackles the human condition with unwavering conviction, merging elements of jazz, funk, and go-go into his hip-hop rooted production.
Oddisee joined Danny Chifley on 2SER Breakfast to discuss his work, how his hometown of Washington D.C. is keeping the little known but incredibly vibrant genre of Go-Go alive and growing up next to funky royalty.
